Ekitela emerged victorious from a field of 12 finalists, impressing the judges with her performance in categories such as cultural wear, environmental conservation, peace promotion, and individual talent.
The first runner-up was Bunny Esinyen, and the second runner-up was Faith Ekal.
This year’s event featured two categories: Miss Tourism Turkana and Miss Ateker.
The winner was crowned by the first lady of the Eastern Equatorial State of the Republic of South Sudan, Magdalena Louis.
The event was also attended by the first ladies of Turkana and West Pokot, as well as county officials including Audan Leah Lokala, Cecilia Majuma, and Abdul Lomuria.
Ekitela will hold the crown for a year, succeeding Saura, the outgoing title holder.[/vc_column_text]
